The Madrid giants winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to supporters for his conduct when substituted in Sunday's heated match against Barcelona victory.

He was replaced in the second half and displayed his frustration by walking immediately off the pitch.

Vinicius subsequently came back to the dugout and, following his team's 2-1 win, sought to engage Barcelona's youngster Yamal during unsavoury after the game scenes.

"Today I want to apologise to all the supporters for my behavior when I was substituted in the big match," he shared on social media.

"Similarly to I have said in person during today's practice, I would like to say sorry once more to my colleagues, the team, and the club president.

"Sometimes passion takes over me because I constantly desire to triumph and assist my team. My determined nature stems from the passion I hold for this team and everything it represents."

The player joined Real from Brazil in recent years for a significant fee and has accumulated triple figures in 335 appearances.

But his prospects in the Madrid is unclear with rumors in lately suggesting that Los Blancos would consider letting the player depart if they obtained a suitable offer.

When Vinicius was substituted on Sunday, cameras from broadcaster the service captured him stating: "Always me! I'm departing the side! It's better if I go, I'm leaving."

In his most recent post on the platform, he commented: "I vow to keep battling every second for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have performed since the very beginning."
