Everyone's favorite pizza-eating superheroes are arriving to the popular trading card game. The popular TCG's company, Wizards of the Coast, announced a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration at a special panel hosted at NYCC. Is this a radical new set or simply another Universes Beyond cash grab? Let you be the judge. Check out here at all the details announced from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, along with some useful context. All items mentioned here releases on March 6th, 2026, except for one item — the Pizza Bundle arrives a few weeks later on March 27. Magic x TMNT: Main Set Reveals Before diving into the many special decks and collections on offer, let’s take a look at the full lineup from the core Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set unveiled by Wizards. Play boosters for the set are priced at $6.99 per pack, while premium boosters are priced at $37.99 per booster. Let's unpack a few surprising details. To begin, a new gameplay mechanic called Sneak, inspired by the already established Ninjutsu ability, where players can cheat big creatures onto the game field whenever an attacking creature isn’t blocked. The key change in this case is that Sneak can apply to spells that aren’t creatures as well. The designers also used this chance to refine the mechanic a little (Sneak counts as casting, as opposed to the older mechanic). The original ability is staying, but it's more likely we'll see Sneak in future sets moving forward. Should we go back to the Kamigawa plane, it’s possible we’d use Ninjutsu since that plane is it was developed and it’s a hallmark to that,” a senior game designer explained. “But on other planes, because the mechanics are smoother and Sneak will be Standard-legal, it’s probable that we'd use Sneak.” Another version of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai, is one of four cards with unique artwork created specifically for the expansion by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman. Oh, and, if you're shocked by the rules text on Turtles Forever, which lets you play cards that aren't in your deck, many players were. But according to Wizards, it’s now a official card in every format of Magic. Anyway, here are the highly unusual land cards with full art from this set: Following Wizards of the Coast's existing guidelines, these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard format. Developers state they took care to make sure the new cards and mechanics worked smoothly with other Standard sets such as Edge of Eternities. “I led the design for over a year and we were aware it was going to be Standard-legal and what other sets were going to be near it in Standard,” the designer says. “We designed to ensure that they work well with certain expansions like Edge of Eternities.” As an instance, each of TMNT and Edge of Eternities include a blue-red archetype focused on artifact cards. “They combine to provide the pieces for a fun Standard-legal deck,” the designer says. Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power After declining to create any pre-constructed Commander decks for the Spider-Man set and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender expansions, Wizards is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s only one precon, but it includes six different legendary creatures that can serve as your Commander based on how you combine them (five cards have a special Partner mechanic named “Character Select” that allows starting with two commanders in the command area instead of only one). Take a look below: The Turtle Power precon is priced at $69.99, though that could easily go up based on popularity. Wizards indicated that it includes 43 new cards in total, which translates to an extra thirty-seven Turtle-themed cards in addition to the six legendary creatures pictured earlier. (Calculating roughly, that also means approximately 20 reprints if we estimate the deck includes 37 lands.) How will the TMNT edition of the iconic Sol Ring appear? Fans must wait and see. TMNT Bundle (Regular) As per usual, the company is selling a bundle. It costs $69.99 and includes the listed items: 9 Play Boosters 15 Traditional foil land cards Fifteen Non-foil land cards Two Reference cards 1 Foil promo card One Oversized life tracker 1 Card-storage box Pizza Bundle This is a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, mostly in that it is packaged in what looks like a pizza delivery box. Every Pizza Bundle costs $99.99 and includes the following: Nine Standard Boosters 1 Premium Booster Twenty-five Regular pizza-themed lands Five Foil pizza basic lands 2 Foil pizza bundle promotional cards 2 Reference cards 1 Large spindown life counter 1 storage box If you’re wondering about the “Pizza Bundle promo card” means, it’s essentially a reprinted older card featuring brand-new Turtle-themed artwork. The team revealed one for the well-known Magic card Dark Ritual depicting Splinter adding black licorice pieces onto a pizza. In total, there are six different Pizza Bundle promo cards available. This special bundle releases a few weeks after the main set on March 27, 2026. Draft Bundle This special bundle is designed for a four-person draft and costs $119.99. Here, the cooperative set is a unique product of decks that let you and a friend join forces against a “Boss” deck that plays automatically. The concept is that every Boss card gives unique powers to the creature cards included in the boss deck. Each Boss automatically casts an additional card per turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
